Competitive salary range plus chance of equity. Based in Copenhagen area, Denmark (SPACE LAUNCH/LOW COST SATELLITE). Approximately 50,000 Euros per annum salary plus employment benefits and a chance to earn equity.

Our client is a new European space launch company with backing from several of Europe’s largest venture capital investors.

We are also recruiting two forward thinking Composite Production Engineers for spacecraft development roles in the United Kingdom.

We are seeking motivated, experienced Composite Production Engineers to work on a new class of orbital space launch vehicle. The system you will work on will be a critical, integral part of the main structure of the launch vehicle.

You will probably be a highly experienced aerospace/motorsport composites engineer, working in an environment that rarely gives you a chance to see your work in action. You will be eager for a fast-paced opportunity that offers exceptional freedom and responsibility, as well as the chance to create a critical system on a European space launch vehicle.

Role: Composite Production Engineer (x 2)

Start date: July/August 2018
Workplace: Copenhagen
Travel: Occasional within Europe

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prototype manufacturing of CFRP test articles for cryogenic applications
  • Working with partners to scale up to full size articles using novel production techniques
  • Developing and executing a testing and qualification programmer
  • CFRP materials supplier management
  • Support of CFRP structure design / analysis for new class of micro launcher vehicle.

Experience

  • In-depth understanding of latest CFRP technologies, production methods and materials
  • Hands-on experience with CFRP parts development and production
  • Pressure design understanding
  • Cryogenic liquids handling and testing experience preferred
  • CAD / CFD experience, Solidworks / Ansys
  • Achieved appropriate resin safety / handling courses.

You will probably have these core attributes:

  • Higher education certificate, possibly degree-level
  • 4-6 years of composite manufacturing experience in aerospace or similar environment
  • Fluency in use of CAD system
  • A flexible and dedicated mind-set
  • English language skills.

We are looking for experienced candidates who can demonstrate they get things done with a pragmatic attitude and reliable results. In this role we expect a lot of practical, hands-on engagement with suppliers and a wide degree of flexibility and responsibility to achieve a specific outcome.
